Bruce Knudsen, CPA, Owner of Online Books, Inc.
“I grew up on a farm and ranch in Montana. After earning an accounting degree, I spent 20 years in public accounting and private industry. I owned a delivery company for ten years and the problems associated with running the business were running my life. That experience drove me to develop a system that would help small to medium businesses be more successful.

Bruce Knudsen passed the Uniform CPA Examination in November 1986. He graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business, Accounting Option in March 1987 and was an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick for nearly 5 years.
In late 1991, Bruce opened a consulting business specializing in litigation support, troubled debt workouts, and business consulting. He continued that business until 2003 when he started Knudsen Accounting Services, P.C. During that same time period he owned and managed a delivery business in Billings.
Online Books, Inc. offers the vast resources of a consultant experienced in business management, litigation, accounting systems, internal controls, income tax planning, bank financing, and the day to day operation of a business coupled with an innovative system of insuring that good accounting data is collected from the most basic operations of your business. Nancy Howell, Accounting On Line Manager
Nancy Howell earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Montana in May 1986. She began her career as a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick in January 1987. After working & traveling as an auditor for 3 years, she took a position as Controller for a then private computer software firm, where she oversaw all financial, human resource and administrative segments of the business for six years.
Nancy joined the company in July 2005. Using her extensive background in business and accounting, she has been instrumental in designing internal bookkeeping systems to drive accounting data to QuickBooks for accurate financial data. Nancy has designed accounting systems for software development, manufacturing, retail sales, service industry, and hotel/convenience businesses. Currently, she manages the Accounting Online process for a growing list of clients at Online Books, Inc. and is certified as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor for QuickBooks 2007.

Maureen Maloughney, Office Manager
Maureen Maloughney received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with minors in Public Relations and Marketing from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1985. Her ten year career with Deluxe Check Printers began in the Billings, Montana facility, moving to the Shoreview, Minnesota facility in 1992. While in Minnesota, she directed the production and human resource processes of a $16 million dollar operation with over 250 employees.
Maureen joined Online Books, Inc. in July 2006. She works on the estate and retirement planning coordination and is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Dayna Thompson, QuickBooks Consultant
Dayna Thompson received her Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University-Billings in 1998. She went to work in the accounting office of the Billings branch of a national trucking company as Payroll Administrator and accepted a position as Office Manager for a local food broker in 2000. This experience helped her develop a deeper understanding of accounting theory. Dayna held this position while returning to school part-time as a grad student to complete the educational requirements for licensure as a CPA. Dayna worked for KPMG Peat Marwick during the 2003 and 2004 tax seasons while completing her final accounting coursework. She sat for and passed the CPA exam in November of 2003. She worked as a business manager/bookkeeper for a chain of dry cleaning stores until 2006.
Dayna joined Online Books, Inc. in September 2006 and is primarily responsible for implementing our online bookkeeping system for new clients. She has successfully designed internal systems for a wide variety of industries and provides training on the new system and features.

Kathy Augustine, QuickBooks Consultant
Kathy received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Montana State University Billings in 1998. She has used her accounting background in a number of retail industries and joined Online Books in August 2007.
She is responsible for reviewing the bookkeeping and managing the month-end process for a number of clients, insuring that all data entry is done correctly and those books are accurate on a daily basis.
