Bruce Knudsen, CPA, Owner of Online Bookkeeping Inc.
“I grew up on a farm and ranch in Montana. After earning an accounting degree, I spent 20 years in public accounting and private industry. I owned a delivery company for ten years and the problems associated with running that business were running my life. That experience drove me to develop a system that would help small to medium businesses be more successful.
It all starts with good business systems. Our comprehensive business system integrates all the functions of bookkeeping in an internet based system. For any type of accounting, outsourcing bookkeeping service or to expand your business, outsource your work to us.
Bruce Knudsen passed the Uniform CPA Examination in November 1986. He graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business, Accounting Option in March 1987 and was an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick for nearly 5 years.
In late 1991, Bruce opened a consulting business specializing in litigation support, troubled debt workouts, and business consulting. He continued that business until 2003 when he started Knudsen Accounting Services, P.C. During that same time period he owned and managed a delivery business in Billings.
Online Bookkeeping Inc. offers the vast resources of a consultant experienced in business management, litigation, accounting systems, internal controls, income tax planning, bank financing, and the day to day operation of a business coupled with an innovative network of business systems that insure good accounting data is collected from the most basic operations of your business. Nancy Howell, Manager of New Client Implementation
Nancy Howell earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Montana in May 1986. She began her career as a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick in January 1987. After working & traveling as an auditor for 3 years, she took a position as Controller for a then private computer software firm, where she oversaw all financial, human resource and administrative segments of the business for six years.
Nancy joined the company in July 2005 and is currently the Manager of New Client Implementation for Online Bookkeeping, Inc., and a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor. She provides bookkeeping services to a variety of industries, creating accounting systems that will provide accurate, up to date information for business owners and managers.

Maureen Maloughney, Office Manager
Maureen Maloughney received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with minors in Public Relations and Marketing from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1985. Her ten year career with Deluxe Check Printers began in the Billings, Montana facility, moving to the Shoreview, Minnesota facility in 1992. While in Minnesota, she directed the production and human resource processes of a $16 million dollar operation with over 250 employees.
Maureen joined Online Bookkeeping Inc. in July 2006. She works on the estate and retirement planning coordination and is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Christine Lyle, Accounting On Line Manager
Christine Lyle received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Montana State University – Billings and has practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in the public accounting arena for seven years. While in public accounting, she gained a wide variety of experience in financial statement preparation, audit work, and tax returns.
Christine joined Online Bookkeeping Inc. in September 2008 and currently is responsible for overseeing the daily online bookkeeping process for each of our clients. She is a resource to both the clients and the review accountants, making sure that our client’s books are as timely and accurate as possible for good decision making.

Jennifer Banks, Review Accountant
Jennifer Banks is a graduate of University Of Idaho with Bachelor of Science degrees in Financial Planning and Accounting. Before joining Online Bookkeeping in November 2009, Jennifer was employed as a staff accountant and a full charge bookkeeper. In these positions she prepared business and personal tax returns and was involved in daily bookkeeping, inventory management and processing payroll using QuickBooks®.
She is responsible for insuring that all daily data entry is done correctly for our bookkeeping clients and completes the month-end procedures to ensure our client’s bookkeeping is accurate and up to date.

Jennifer Edgell, Payroll Administrator
Jennifer Edgell is a graduate of Eastern Montana College and Billings Business College. She recently worked as a commercial insurance payroll auditor and prior to that position she was a Controller for 5 years. Her experience includes involvement with daily accounting, inventory and payroll practices. Jennifer joined Online Bookkeeping in December of 2008.
She is responsible for processing a wide variety of payrolls, including all related payroll reporting and liability payments. She also handles other bookkeeping and special projects.

Peggy Dedman joined Online Bookkeeping in March 2009 as a New Client Implementer. Peggy earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University and has held various accounting positions. Her most recent positions were with Marriott Hotel Company as a Senior Assistant Controller and Director of Finance and Accounting. She also has been involved in sales and operations for a Las Vegas sign company.
As an Implementer with Online Bookkeeping, Peggy is responsible for implementing our online bookkeeping process for new clients. This includes system set-up, learning new industry characteristics, tailoring forms and procedures to meet the client’s needs, training the clients on online procedures, and monitoring the first weeks of the online bookkeeping process.

Gina Penfold, Review Accountant
Gina Penfold earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Her career began as an Assistant Controller for Wainwright Industries where she prepared monthly financial statements, administered the 401(K) Plan, processed payroll and was involved with accounts payable and receivables. She continued her career working with budgets, fixed asset management and extensive use of QuickBooks with various businesses and industries.
In March of 2009 Gina joined Online Bookkeeping, Inc as a Review Accountant. Currently she reviews data entry, processes all month-end reconciliations and adjustments ensuring her clients’ QuickBooks’ files are accurate and timely.
